The Spalding Ladies Business Group was started for women by women in the Spalding area who are not able to commit to early morning or evening meeting by providing them with a non-membership lunchtime opportunity to make personal and strategic connections with like minded women from all business sectors. The group is run by Elizabeth Smith-Hughes, Heidi Grimwood and Deborah Rhoden-Stokes, who met during networking events in the area. They soon realised there was a real need and want for a networking group specifically aimed at women.
The SLBG Lunch meetings are open to all women who are involved in business development for their organisation also for women who are looking at setting up a business and looking for support within the business community. The structured, but informal monthly meetings take place every second Wednesday of the month at the Cley Hall in Spalding.
As there are limited places at each lunch, all bookings must be made in advance via the website.
Everyone is encouraged to bring business cards and any promotional material, as they will get an opportunity to introduce themselves and their business during the meeting.
If you become part of our group, you do not have to attend every meeting – this will keep a flow of new ladies coming through and ensures the group is a “want to” rather than a “have to” event.
We are keen to ensure that people want to participate and enjoy these meetings as well as getting results!
What will I get from the group
- The opportunity to meet like minded professional women.
- Chances to further your business opportunities via strategic business relationships.
- Get advice and information on issues that affect the local business committee.
- Gain confidence and general networking skills in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
- Meet new friends and lots of fun.
